Christopher Klaus is a successful entrepreneur, influential supporter of the Georgia Institute of Technology and angel investor in numerous technology startups. Prior to founding Kava, Chris founded Internet Security Systems ‘ISS’ (backed by leading venture firms such as Kleiner Perkins and Greylock Partners). Goldman Sachs took ISS public in ’98 (NASDAQ:ISSX) and was acquired by IBM for $1.9 Billion in ’06.
Minaz has more than 20 years of experience leading technology strategy, software & product development. Minaz has held leadership roles at Cbeyond (NASDAQ:CBEY), Nextgen Healthcare (NASDAQ:QSII) and Asurion. Minaz holds a B.S and M.S in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and serves on the board of ATL CTO.
Stephen has over 20 years of experience building software systems in the financial and telecommunications industries and has held various roles including entrepreneur, architect, manager, team lead, and developer. He holds two patents in the field of streaming analytics along with several additional filings, some of which are still pending.
Tom Noonan is a General Partner at TechOperators. Tom is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Internet Security Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSX), which was acquired in 2007 by IBM for $1.9B. Tom Noonan and Chris Klaus launched ISS in 1994 to commercialize and develop a premier network security management company. Under Tom’s leadership, ISS revenue soared from startup in 1995 to nearly $400 million dollars in its first decade. The company grew to more than 2,000 employees, with operations in more than 36 countries.
Samuel Augustus Nunn Jr. is an American lawyer and politician. Currently the CEO and co-chairman of the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), a charitable organization working to prevent catastrophic attacks with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, Nunn served for 24 years as a United States Senator from Georgia (1972 until 1997) as a member of the Democratic Party. His political experience and credentials on national defense reportedly made him a potential running mate for Democratic presidential candidates John Kerry (2004) and Barack Obama (2008).
